At Mutrade, we are dedicated to providing innovative parking and vehicle elevation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and maximize space utilization. A recent project in Marseille, France, showcases the successful deployment of our Four Post Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor (FP-VRC) at a bustling business facility. This installation transformed the facility’s workflow by enabling seamless vertical movement of vehicles, addressing space constraints while maintaining a professional and functional environment.
The Challenge
The business facility in Marseille faced significant space limitations as it expanded its operations, handling a diverse range of vehicles including large SUVs. The need to move vehicles between ground and upper levels without disrupting the facility’s layout or incurring the high costs of concrete ramps posed a complex challenge. Traditional solutions would have required extensive construction, reduced usable floor space, and failed to accommodate the facility’s varied vehicle types and heavy-duty requirements efficiently.
The Solution
Mutrade addressed these challenges with FP-VRC, a hydraulic-driven four-post lifting platform designed for elevating vehicles and goods. Customized for the Marseille facility, FP-VRC boasts a platform capacity of up to 6000kg and a spacious platform—up to 7000mm in length and 3000mm in width—crafted from anti-slip checkered steel plate. This wide platform and robust lifting capacity, powered by a strong hydraulic cylinder and double lifting chains, allow it to handle large SUVs and heavy loads with ease, traveling to 5 meters with 2 stops.
The installation leveraged FP-VRC’s self-supporting structure, requiring only a shallow 200mm pit or the option to stand directly on the ground with ramps, minimizing construction disruption. The system’s simple operation via push-button switches on each level, with an optional remote control, ensured user-friendly performance. Safety features, including mechanical anti-falling locks, emergency stop buttons, and sound alarms, provided a secure environment. The power pack’s relocatable design further enhanced flexibility, adapting to the facility’s layout.
This solution enabled the facility to move vehicles vertically with minimal effort, optimizing space for storage and operational activities while maintaining accessibility and safety.
Key Advantages of the FP-VRC
The FP-VRC delivers exceptional benefits tailored to the needs of the Marseille business facility:
Reliability: Equipped with a superior lifting system featuring double chains and a robust hydraulic cylinder, FP-VRC ensures dependable performance. Its low maintenance rate and zero electricity consumption during descent make it a reliable choice for continuous operation.
Adaptability: The system’s flexible layout adapts to various project conditions. Whether installed in a pit or on flat ground with ramps, FP-VRC integrates seamlessly into existing structures, making it ideal for retrofitting the Marseille facility.
Versatility: Capable of handling loads from 2000kg to 6000kg, FP-VRC serves both heavy-duty vehicles and goods, indoors or outdoors. Its ability to be called from any stopping floor enhances its utility across diverse applications.
Accessibility: With options for pit or ramp installation, FP-VRC offers easy access at the entry level. The relocatable power pack and operation panels on each level ensure convenient use for all staff.
Customisability: Fully customizable in dimensions, travel height, color, and platform material, FP-VRC was tailored to the facility’s specific needs, ensuring a perfect fit and aesthetic alignment with its modern design.
Unlike traditional parking lifts, FP-VRC offers a wide platform and ample lifting capacity, making it suitable even for large SUVs, setting it apart as a versatile and robust solution.
Versatile Applications for the FP-VRC
FP-VRC’s design makes it suitable for multiple settings, including car dealerships for efficient vehicle movement, basement parking areas for space optimization, car rental companies needing quick inventory access, and outdoor installations due to its self-supporting structure. This adaptability ensures it meets the diverse needs of business facilities, seaports, and more.
