Increasingly, there is a request to increase the number of parking spaces in a limited area in a large city. We share our experience in solving this problem.
Let's assume that there is an Investor who has bought an old building in the city center and plans to build a new residential building with 24 apartments here. One of the first questions that a designer will face when calculating a building is how to provide the required number of parking spaces. There is a minimum standard for the number of parking spaces, and an apartment without parking in the center of a metropolis is valued much lower than with parking.
The situation is that the area of the existing parking lot is small. There is no space for parking on the street. The size of the building does not allow organizing a traditional underground parking with a ramp, driveways that allow maneuvering when parking, and the possibility of deepening is also limited due to city communications. The size of the parking space is 24600 x 17900 meters, the maximum possible depth is 7 meters. Even with the use of a mechanized lift (car lift), no more than 18 parking spaces can be provided. But this is often not enough.
There is only one option left - to automate parking for cars in the underground part of the house. And here the designer faces the task of choosing equipment that will allow him to get at least 34 parking spaces in a limited space.
In this case, Mutrade will offer you to consider 2 options - robotic palletless type parking or automated pallet type parking. A layout solution will be formed, which can be applied taking into account the existing restrictions and characteristics of the building, as well as taking into account the location of the entrance to the parking lot and access roads.
To understand how robotic palletless type parking fundamentally differs from automated pallet type parking, let's give a little explanation.
Robotic palletless type parking is a palletless parking system: a car is parked in a parking space with the help of a robot that drives up under the car, picks it up under the wheels and takes it to the storage cell. This solution speeds up the parking process and simplifies parking maintenance during operation.
Automated pallet type parking is a pallet storage system for cars: the car is first installed on a pallet (pallet), and then, together with the pallet, is installed in a storage cell. This solution is slower, the parking process takes a little longer, however, the issue with the minimum clearance of cars allowed for parking is removed.
So, the layout solution is ready. Given the configuration of the building and its location, robotic rack parking is the best choice. It turned out to place 34 parking spaces. Cars are placed in 2 tiers. Receiving box - at around 0.00. From the receiving box, the car is moved by a robot to a three-coordinate manipulator (a car lift that can move up and down, as well as to the right and left), which delivers the car together with the robot to the desired storage cell.
